After talking with you about your specific needs and desires, Chef-owner William Scully will create a menu that adapts classic cooking techniques to a contemporary American style. We use fresh local ingredients in elegant combinations from all over the globe. The results will surprise and delight you.

Locally Inspired, Locally Owned
Located in rural Vermont, the quality of Pangaea’s food is influenced as much by our location as it is by our care and creativity in the kitchen. We rely on the produce and products of local farmers to offer the freshest, seasonal food available, complemented by a Wine Spectator Award winning wine list. Chef Scully is inspired by the four restaurants and eateries he runs in the North Bennington area. Choose from the elegance of Pangaea to the low key style of the Lounge, from the fine Italian cuisine of Allegro to the casual fare at Powers Market.

• Savory caviar and crème fraîche cannoli
• Seared venison tenderloin on water cracker with apple and mustard chutney
• Seared sea scallops in puff pastry with vanilla sabayon
• Ahi tuna and cilantro salad canapé on daikon root
• Beef tenderloin Wellington with mushroom duxelles, fresh asparagus, and porcini demi glace
• Cranberry stuffed and apricot glazed young quail and foie gras torchon wrapped in collard greens
• Vermont boar and Brie Wellington
• Grafton cheddar and chive quiche.

Chef William Scully
Self-taught chef-owner William Scully trained at the Main Street Café and Cambridge Hotel where he eventually became executive chef before opening Pangaea in North Bennington. Since then, Scully has expanded the area’s dining options with Pangaea Lounge, Powers Market and Allegro Ristorante in Bennington. With a background in the arts, Scully creates dishes that are as extraordinary to see as they are to eat. Scully, who came to North Bennington in 1990, also has a strong commitment to the community and won the 2005 Community Hero Award from the Catamount Partnership for Community Health for his work with Quantum Leap and the Pangaea Project.
